Sorrento

You will be met at the pier of Naples. Our chauffeur will see you seated
comfortably in the airconditioned vehicle of your choice and give you
a panoramic tour of the city of Naples.
Founded by the people of Rhodes in the X Century b.c , Naples has had
a varied history and the monuments and buildings that you will drive
past, bear witness to this fact.
The Piazza del Municipio with the beautiful castle that has guarded the
harbour for 700 years ; Piazza del Plebiscito , a semi circular piazza
with the royal palace on one side and San Francesco di Paola on the
other, built along the architectural lines of The Pantheon; the two
Equestrian statues of Ferdinand I Of Bourbon and Charles III by Canova.
The drive will continue to the Etruscan / Greek city of Sorrento,
famed for it's gentle climate , colour and panoramic sea views.
Spend time walking along the narrow streets constructed on the
Greek city plan. Shop in the boutiques, built into the basements of
private houses. Visit the church of San Antonino and the
Cloister of Saint Francesco (8 century).
A quick lunch at one of the restaurants… eating is good here !
And continue the drive along winding roads with the most beautiful
views of the sea and arrive at POSITANO.
Founded by the survivors of Paestum and called
'the Gem of the Divine Coast' because of it's colourful buildings,
Positano is surrounded by the green mountains of Monte Comune
on one side and faces the sea on the South and the East.
It is perhaps the only town in the world to have a splendid view of 360°
Visit the chuch of Our Lady of The Assumption, with it's polychrome
marble altars , and the Byzantine icon of The Madonna and Child. ..13th century.
